  • Do not leave the wagon at any time.  Anyone leaving the wagon during the Hayride will be escorted from the premises.

Q: Is the Haunted Hayrides wheelchair accessible?
A: Not entirely. The Hayride and most other attractions are accessible.  The Screamatorium is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs, narrow hallways, and typical Haunted House props and elements an individual may encounter.

Q: Can I wear my own costume to the Haunted Hayrides?
A: Costumes are okay, but masks are not allowed for the safety of our employees and guests. Whatever you do don’t dress like a zombie, you may be shot.

Q: Is there a different admission price for children?
A: No.  But, children under the age of 2 are free—only if they sit on the lap of a parent during the Hayride.

Q: What is the age limit/requirement to get in to the Haunted Hayrides?
A: We do not recommend any of the Haunted Hayrides attractions for children under age 8. However, it is up to the parents. Children under 8 must be escorted by an adult. Many young children will have a great time.  Others will not make it all the way through. (Even some adults get too scared to make it through)  We incorporate loud music, strobe lights, fog machines and gory creatures to make up our shows.  Please be aware that if you (or a member of your party) are too scared to make it through, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. (EVEN IF you have not started the Hayride)

Q: Do you offer group discounts?
A: Yes…by the wagon. Click here to book a private wagon, subject to availability. Advance reservations are required.

Q: What if it rains or snows? Will Haunted Hayrides close if the weather is bad?
A: We have rarely closed due to inclement weather—Haunted Hayrides run rain/snow or shine. Most of the Haunted Hayride is outside so you will get wet/cold—dress accordingly. We do have covered areas outside to take cover if it’s raining. We will do our best to post an update on social media or make announcements on the radio in the event of a closure. Be sure to refresh your page for the most current information. In the event of closure due to severe weather, purchased tickets can be redeemed on another night.

Q: Do you use live rodents, snakes, animals, bugs, real weapons, real chainsaws, etc.?
A: Why do you ask?  Are you skeered? Are you a yellow-bellied chicken?  Stop being such a baby and just enjoy the show!

Q: What kind of effects should I expect?
A: There will be blood, demons, ghosts, phantoms, zombies, violence, gore, loud noises, gunfire, chainsaws, strobe lights, stairs, tight passageways, darkness, smoke, fire and destruction. You may get a little water sprayed on you.

Q: If they scare me, can I hit them, kick them, and scream at them?
A: Scream all you want—that’s the fun of it.  If you assault any of our staff, Wayne County Sheriff officers will take you directly to jail. For the safety of our guests and staff, we use security cameras throughout the event.

Q: Will I be injured, tortured, dismembered, or killed at your event?
A: We go to great lengths to provide a fun, safe experience for our guests. If you follow our rules, stay on the wagon, follow the direction of your wagon guides and do not touch the employees or scenery, you will make it through safely. We have a security team on the premises during all hours of operation for your safety.

Q: Can I take pictures or video?
A: No flash photography is allowed on the Hayride.  General photography is fine.  Press members must obtain permission at least 24 hours in advance for any filming.

Q: Will Haunted Hayride “actors” touch me?
A: Unlike other haunted attractions, you WILL be touched.  You may be shocked, tortured, exposed to the elements, etc.  We cannot give away all the secrets but you get the idea.

Q: Are there restrictions for pregnant women or people having health problems?
A: In general you need to be in good physical condition to survive the attractions of The Haunted Hayrides. Please consult your doctor to find out if an intense experience is appropriate for your condition. Do not enter if you suspect your health is at risk. You should not enter with the following conditions: Pregnancy, heart conditions, nausea, obesity, back problems, epilepsy, breathing problems, bladder control loss.

Q: How long do I have to wait in line?

Q: I lost my phone/jewelry/shoes on the hayride. Can you help me find it?
A: Please make sure any items you bring are securely in your pockets at all times… or better yet, leave them in the car. We will not be able to check for lost items while attractions are open. Your lost items might not be found until the end of the night or the next morning, sometimes not until after the season. If you might have dropped an item inside one of our attractions, please phone or e-mail us with the details.
